Unsa is the BAME Network lead and PM for the Diversity and Inclusion Committee at Agilisys, the technology and transformation partner for the public sector. She is also a Founding Member and Policy Lead of Agilisys Women Empowerment, which promotes inclusion of women within a typically male dominated sector. Unsa’s input in the BAME network has led to the creation of a range of activities to promote a more inclusive workforce, such as lunchtime walks and socials that are away from the typical pub and alcohol-focused environment. She is also an elected local government councilor in Hounslow – the first BAME woman to hold the seat. In this position she works with young people, with the aim of supporting those who want to seek public office. She has also supported the Pakistan Welfare Association to encourage older people from an Asian background to integrate better with the community.
