Aki is the Director at The Literary Consultancy and leads the TLC Quality Writing For All campaign which provides a platform for and supports under-represented writers. She has brokered a sponsorship deal with AM Health Literary Agency enabling the publication of the Free Reads Anthology featuring 20 marginalized writers and spearheaded a sponsorship from the National Arts Council Singapore to support 42 Singaporean writers. Named as one of the FutureBook 40 in 2018, Aki is a Trustee and member of the Diversity Subcommittee for Poetry London and is a member of #BAMEinpublishing. In addition, she launched an Editing Training Scheme with the Publishing Training Centre in a partnership that offers free training, support and travel bursaries to aspiring editors from diverse backgrounds.
