Since age 18, Edleen has focused on driving Diversity and Inclusion in universities and in the corporate sector by initiating and leading initiatives focused on increasing BAME representation. Whilst at Morgan Stanley, she started the first EMEA Career Development Programme for Black Heritage employees. In her previous role at KPMG, Edleen set up their Black Heritage Working Group focused on driving and monitoring the recruitment, retention and progression of Black Heritage colleagues. She also supported and facilitated KPMG’s signing of the Race at Work Charter, the Black Heritage Reverse Mentoring Programme alongside co-running the firm’s Black Leaders’ Network, designed to increase senior representation across the UK business sector. Outside of work, she mentors BAME city professionals, and started a support group for Black sixth formers applying to Oxbridge. Edleen sits on the Board of Directors at Tech Talent Charter, and in 2020 joined the Inclusion Advisory Board of The Football Association (FA).
