Mary, born and raised in Nigeria up until the age of 7, came to live in the UK in 1996; following her degree in Law, Mary entered the City of London in 2010. She has held a variety of positions at various international Insurance and Reinsurance Brokers, culminating in her role as a Chief Strategy Officer. At Aon, Mary has been an instrumental in developing workshops to upskill ethnic minority students. She organized Aon Insight Week; a week-long workshop for Afro-Caribbean students to learn about the insurance industry. The success of Insight Week resulted in the creation of BAME Future Leaders, a fast-track program for BAME individuals onto Aon’s graduate program which has led to a 40% increase of BAME students onto Aon’s Internship and Graduate scheme. Outside her city life, Mary is a full-time keyboardist in her church and has a deep interest in song writing and music composition.
