“As Founder and Co-lead of the EMBRACE employee resource group, and a member of GSK’s Global Ethnicity Council, Omar has driven engagement, commitment and accountability with senior leaders to create an environment where Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic (BAME) employees may succeed at the most senior levels. He was instrumental in pioneering a “Let’s talk about Race” session at GSK that included senior leaders and has facilitated workshop on the topic with other organizations. His position in the network has enabled him to provide broad input into GSK’s diversity and inclusion strategy, self-identification campaign, and support the creation of mixed interview panels to include ethnic minorities. Externally, Omar is focused on inspiring the next generation of BAME talent through Your Future Your Ambition and the Migrant Leaders mentoring program. He sits on the steering committee of TNON BAME/Multicultural group, building leadership capability of BAME network leaders from over 70 public/private organizations.”
