Punit has worked diligently at Deloitte to create an inclusive culture that reflects his personal journey as the first Indian-born CEO to lead a Big 4 firm. His deeply held belief — that there’s strength in diversity – is reflected in his signature initiatives – Deloitte’s WorldClass, refreshed Shared Values and ALL IN, which aims to increase the number of women and minority leaders throughout the organization. Outside Deloitte, Punit has been a supporter of the activities of the Office of Multicultural Affairs at Willamette University (his alma matter), which is housed in the Renjen Center. Punit is a member of the Business Roundtable, a member of the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum, Vice Chairman of the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum and recently concluded his term as the Chairman of the United Way Worldwide. In February 2020, he was recognized by the Oregon Historical Society as a “history maker” for his visionary business leadership.
