Shirin is the Chair of the Trainee Sub-Committee for Diversity and Inclusion. As Chair, Shirin leads a team of twelve trainees on two projects, most recently analyzing the role of existing employee networks. Additionally, as a member of the #LeadHers Committee, Shirin encourages female founders to engage with CMS’ equIP – the firm’s incubator for start-ups. Externally, Shirin is the Co-Founder of South Asian Sisters Speak (SASS) a safe space for South Asian women to discuss their experiences as a diaspora. SASS have designed and delivered multiple initiatives such as the Brown Girls Book Club, a panel event titled Smashing the Stigma focusing on mental health within the South Asian community and Lost Histories, showcasing the untold histories of South Asian women and migration to the UK.
