Steve was involved with helping set up the Africa Programme in 2013 at Bank of America, a recruitment initiative which provides internships and fulltime roles for students from nine African countries across multiple divisions across the bank. He now serves on the Africa Programme Steering Committee to continue to grow the initiative. He also mentors junior talent at Bank of America to enhance their career development of those from minority ethnic backgrounds, which has led to some of his mentees gaining full-time roles. Steve serves as the EMEA Asset Management Services line of business diversity and inclusion forum lead and is an active member of the bank’s Multicultural Leadership Employee Network. He has also set up a ‘coding village’ for children in a rural part of Ghana to help bridge the educational technology gap, and he was successful in mobilizing 30 volunteers from two leading universities in Ghana, and colleagues at Bank of America to help deliver the initiative.
