BJ is a member of Latham’s Executive Committee, for which increasing Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) throughout the global firm is a key strategic priority. BJ serves as Executive Committee liaison to Latham’s Diversity Leadership Committee, which he previously led as Global Chair. During his tenure, the group launched a Diversity Leadership Academy, established eight affinity groups, including three for ethnic minority lawyers, spearheaded a firm-wide Inclusion Initiative to achieve broader engagement, expanded programs to enhance the pipeline of diverse law students, and revamped D&I training for all employees. BJ has served on the board, and is a lifetime member, of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, where he has attended countless D&I events and has mentored young law students and lawyers over the last decade. He is also involved with the Black Law Students Association at Harvard Law School, where he attends the annual job fair, among other events.
