As CEO of JM Ventures, Javad built Norway’s first impact investment company based on the thesis that diversity is profitable, and started by implementing a top-down approach to diversity and inclusion. He has established a ‘Circle of Friends’ approach, where a diverse set of executives serve as champions to support the company through enabling access and providing capital. When it comes to recruitment, Javad introduced a policy where possible to have a 50/50 gender split on the interview panel, and a minimum of one person with a non-Norwegian background. They also conducts unconscious bias training with all employees and stakeholders, and partners with community organizations focusing on diversity, inclusion and talent. He has been recognized amongst Norway’s Top Leadership Talents under 35 three years in a row. Javad also serves as CEO of MAK – Norway’s largest community of talents with diverse background, MinMentor and is Founder of DiversityHub in Norway.
