Within six months of joining Capital One, Jennie had ran a D&I session for leadership and wider teams, to help break down barriers and create visibility of unconscious exclusion. She has challenged the approach to inclusion, particularly on increasing awareness on intersectionality focusing on ethnicity and mental health. Through the creation of newly established Mind Your Mind and BAME networks this has also now led to the creation of an Executive Sponsor led D&I monthly forum. Jennie was also appointed as UK lead for EmpowHER, (women’s resource group), which is aimed at driving policy change, development and support for women of all backgrounds. Through an innovative first of its kind Growth Mindset Conference in Birmingham, she successfully created a platform for a different approach to progressing inclusive thinking. Jennie is also passionate about social mobility, and mentors a diverse group of people as part of Prince’s Trust programs.
